Around 1999, Aldis ( pronounced ALL-diss) and a group of fellow bikers started " The Bluecats", which became"Aldis & the Bluecats", releasing an indie CD from upstate NY, recorded at Crow Song Recordings, mastered by Benny Quinn in Nashville at MasterFonics, same guys who did the Clapton and Steely Dan boxed sets over the years.

Lots of great feedback, especially from Europe, and the West Coast. The line-up changed here and there, always featuring the powerful vocals of pint-sized Janet Lemesis, delivered full throttle just like she rides her XL1200. Founder Aldis Lemesis leads the band with the tasty guitar riffs and cuts...never with effects boxes. Tasty music, no rust belt grundge blues allowed !

Over the years, the band has been featured in a music sampler CD for Blues Revue Magazine, has been played on XM satellite radio,  played in over 30 different clubs, and the music distributed far and wide through various music retailers.

PLEASE GIVE A BIG WELCOME TO DAVE SPINNER, OUR NEW KEYBOARD PLAYER. DAVE IS A VERY POPULAR PIANO PLAYER IN THE NORTHEAST U.S. MUSIC SCENE, AND HIS TALENT SPANS DECADES OF BLUES & JAZZ PERFORMANCES....

 IN MEMORIAM...WE DEDICATE OUR AUGUST PERFORMANCES TO LUCILLE RABIDEAU, WIFE OF RAB'S WOODSHED OWNER MARK...BOTH WERE IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. WE LOST LUCILLE, FRIEND, SUPPORTER, & MUSIC LOVER. MARK SUFFERED CLOSE TO THE SAME FATE, WE SEND OUR LOVE & THOUGHTS TO THEIR FAMILY. THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE OVER THE PAST 11 YEARS... 

AND IN THE "YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP DEPT.".......MUCH TO OUR AMUSEMENT, COUPLE OF BANDS HAVE CROPPED UP IN UPSTATE NY, FEATURING FEMALE LEAD VOCALISTS, AND PLAYING FROM OUR SONG LIST. ONE OF THE BANDS' SINGERS EVEN DYED HER HAIR RED. 

 WE ARE FLATTERED, ESPECIALLY OUR REAL RED-HEAD,  BUT TO ALL BLUES FANS OUT THERE...YOU KNOW THE REAL THING WHEN YOU HEAR IT...GOOD TASTY MUSIC COMES FROM THE HEART & SOUL...   A.L.
